Our hearts flame
her distant love calls my name
and I respond.

It ignites with a simple spark
and it kindles into a
great bonfire with sparks
flying & darkness brightening.

She and I - we greet
our eyes; they meet.
Gently, our separate
bodies melt and mold into
one that will never
separate, and we lay
grateful to have found
another that loves.

The fire burns on
and our love climbs to the sun
never a disagreement
of exodus, we hold in all
that is good and soar to
the greatness that is
rightfully ours.
